WELCOME TO COMMON WEALTH INTERNATIONAL



This International organisation serves as an umbrella to nongovernmental organizations in 51 Commonwealth countries, from Antigua and Canada to Zimbabwe. The Foundation’s special interests include: the eradication of poverty, rural development, health, non-formal education, community enterprise, women in development, disability and the arts and culture. Emphasis is on supporting non-governmental organizations, professional associations, arts and culture, and travel grants.

Our primary instrument for social change is grant making. We give small grants from US $5,000 to $200,000 to individual community foundations.These grants are targeted at strengthening the capacities of community foundations and institutions, and increasing their overall effectiveness.



Our WORK





Our work depends on grantees and partners across the United States and in more than 100 countries who have on-the-ground expertise, a deep understanding of the issues we care about, and strong ties with the communities in which we aim to make a difference. At the same time, we have learned the value of having foundation representatives based in key regions—to help us build relationships with partner organizations and governments, better understand the policy environment, and remain culturally sensitive.



OuR REACH





Common Wealth International launched a new programme that aims to empower globally, civil society organisations that address discrimination and disadvantage based on gender,refuge crisis, Community development, Education, HIV/AIDs, Sanitation, Safe water in all common wealth countries, Asia and Latin America.

We also help NGO's , CBO's ,Churches , Educational institutions and other grassroot organisation which help Vulnerable people such as Orphans, Women and Girls, Street Children and Communities which are in absolute Poverty . Download Grant Application here
