Common Wealth International (CWI), is a 501(c)3 charity founded in 1963, is the largest independent administrator of donor advised funds (DAFs) in the US. A donor advised fund is a charitable account managed by a public charity. The fund exists to manage charitable donations on behalf of the individual donor to support the charitable causes that are important to them.

Common Wealth International (CWI) is grant maker working to promote and support institutions of community philanthropy around the world. We work with individual community foundations and other local grantmakers and their networks around the world, with a particular focus on the global and the emerging economies of Africa, Latin America, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe. Through small grants, technical support and networking, we help these local institutions to strengthen and grow so that they can fulfill their potential as vehicles for local development and as part of the infrastructure for sustainable development, poverty alleviation and citizen participation.
